The new Harvey Nichols First Floor, which houses designer womenswear brands has been unveiled - the latest stage of an ambitious redevelopment plan for the Knightsbridge flagship store.
Following a four month refurbishment by Portview, the 2,000 sqm first floor space features a new Harvey Nichols design concept, which moves away from the traditional branded shop fits and instead offers a more sophisticated and elegant interior akin to a luxury boutique. The pioneering design creates a unique destination to showcase Harvey Nichols unrivalled edit of women’s ready-to-wear, shoes and must-have accessories.
Creating the new area has involved restructuring large parts of the floor to create a fluid open space to ease the customer journey through the brand offering. The exposure of the original windows has bought in masses of natural light and added to the beautiful open and airy environment. Shoes are presented in their own dedicated area utilising an unusual combination of materials such as marble, textured glass and raw steel.
