Market leading specialist, Portview Fit-Out, has marked the completion of Liberty London’s year-long renovation with the opening of the store’s new bar and restaurant, Arthur’s.

Named after the landmark’s founding father, Arthur’s encompasses decadence and sophistication in equal measure, with art-deco inspired elements cleverly combined with contemporary touches to give it a unique allure that is quintessentially, Liberty.

Designed by architecture consultancy, Nick Leith-Smith, and project managed by Portview, the interior features a sculptural copper installation at the entrance; semi-circular banquette seating; dazzling warm brass and copper details; and plush upholstered velvet in alternating shades of midnight blue, teal green and dusty pink.

Managing Director of Portview Fit-Out, Simon Campbell said:

“Liberty is one of the most iconic retail destinations in London and is renowned for its rich history and eclectic individuality.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be involved in this ambitious renovation and are proud to deliver a beautiful new restaurant that perfectly represents everything Liberty stands for – craftmanship, elegance and artistry.”

For the last 12 months, Liberty London has undergone an extensive fit-out process, which has resulted in the celebrated expansion of its menswear and womenswear departments.

The revamp has also seen the addition of a new mini British food hall, where shoppers can purchase the finest of local produce after trying it for themselves from Arthur’s mouth-watering menu – created by the culinary team at Levy UK.

Simon Campbell continued:

“The debut opening of Arthur’s is quite literally the cherry on the cake of the entire renovation process as it offers shoppers a beautiful setting in which to enjoy some of the finest artisan food after some retail therapy.

“We’re very happy with what we have accomplished here and look forward to strengthening our relationship with Liberty, Levy UK and Nick Leith-Smith even further.”

In keeping with the art and craft theme, the reclaimed pendant lighting lends a sophisticated polish, while geometric wall paint provides vibrant accents.

The ultimate showpiece, is the stylish bar extending the length of the restaurant. With a surface of hand-glazed diamond tiles, a dreamy palette of pinks, greys and blues, and an elegant marble counter.
