Italian fashion designer, Salvatore Ferragamo has marked the opening of its new store in Bicester Village with a stunning revamped interior that showcases the very best in high-end retail design.

Following a 12-week renovation by fit-out specialists, Portview, the new store is double the size of its predecessor with a generous range of men’s and women’s fashion collections for shoppers to swoon over.

Spanning 200 sqm, with 150 sqm of additional storage space on the mezzanine level, the interior strikes the perfect balance between elegance and exuberance, with art-deco inspired features such as rich travertine ceramic flooring, polished walnut surfaces, brass hardware, and plush golden velvet settees.

Designed in-house by Ferragamo Store Planning, with Mark Pinney Associates as consultants, the interior boasts a refined, understated ambience with warm, neutral tones of café au lait and honeymilk, framed by metallic accents of brass and champagne gold. The use of concealed LED lighting creates the illusion of ‘floating’ shelves, perfectly illuminated to add depth and dimension.

Simon Campbell, Managing Director of Portview Fit-Out said:

“We’ve thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Ferragamo and Mark Pinney Associates on this project to deliver a beautiful store that elicits the best in Italian finesse and quality.

“Our main priority on every project is to deliver over and beyond the client’s expectations and that’s exactly what we’ve done here. From managing and coordinating the installation of the delicate millwork from Italy; to ensuring every fixture, fitting and finish matched exactly what the client envisaged, we took ownership of every step of the process so the client didn’t have to.

“The end result is a warm and inviting boutique where the geometric shapes of art-deco design are effortlessly married with a modern colour pallet to produce an exceptional interior that everyone can be proud of.”

Associate Director of Mark Pinney Associates, Nick Johnson added:

“The quality that has been achieved in delivering the Salvatore Ferragamo boutique at Bicester Village is testament to the team involved. Despite a challenging programme and the coordination required of an international supply chain the target opening date was met.

“It was a pleasure to work with Portview, who added value to the project by managing it effectively and being extremely proactive when solving issues.”
