Recognised by staff in the annual Best Companies Survey for their high levels in staff engagement and job satisfaction, Portview excels in areas such as employee welfare, professional development and internal communication, thanks to an award-winning culture, well-being initiatives and company benefits.

Managing Director of Portview, Simon Campbell said:

“By its very nature, the fit-out industry is fast-paced and demanding, so we work very hard to ensure our employees feel valued and happy in their roles.

“We have a string of industry leading initiatives such as our award-winning Live Better Feel Better health promotion scheme, which raises awareness about common health concerns and offers simple, effective solutions to address them. This is achieved through a variety of practical workshops, seminars and training events that are designed to be engaging and informative.”

In the Best Companies survey, 96% of Portview employees agreed that they make a valuable contribution to the success of the company. Mr Campbell continued:

“We actively encourage our employees to contribute their thoughts and ideas on how to improve standards across the company. Each quarter, representatives from every department gather in an employee forum to submit their proposals to the directors for discussion. We also have an innovation initiative, where individuals can speak to us directly about their ideas and are rewarded if it’s something we plan to roll out, which a lot of the time we do.

“Many of our best innovations and processes have come from the brilliant minds of our people and this is something that is very much celebrated in Portview.”

From team building days that include archery, mini golf, escape rooms and table tennis tournaments; to an award-winning social intranet, lunchtime barbeques, and a lucrative employee recognition scheme, Portview prides itself in striking a healthy work-life balance by rewarding productivity and teamwork.

The Best Companies league table comes after another year of record growth for Portview with increased market share in the hospitality, stadia, high-end residential and office sectors for clients such as Tiffany & Co, Tottenham Hotspur FC, Wartski and Lush.

To meet the increased demand, employee numbers have grown by 25% in the last three years with plans of further expansion following a 20% increase in turnover in 2018.

Mr Campbell concluded:

“We wouldn’t be where we are today without the dedication of our employees and we’re delighted to be recognised by them and Best Companies for our efforts in giving something back to our team. We hope this will inspire other companies to adopt a collaborative, comprehensive approach when it comes to workplace engagement and wellbeing.”

Jonathan Austin, CEO & Founder of Best Companies, said:

“I would like to congratulate Portview on their achievement. Best Companies have been producing the Accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. Organisations like Portview have continued to focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that this is a best company to work for.”
