A sector defining concept for the beauty element of one of the UK’s leading department stores
Beauty Bazaar, Harvey Nichols in Liverpool focuses on the world’s best beauty brands but with the addition of treatments, beauty services, niche brands and a destination Champagne bar.
Occupying 22,000 sq ft of prime retail space, the Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar store extends across three floors in Liverpool ONE. The design had to ensure unique, accessible displays for each brand while taking into account their individual requirements.
Cut diamonds and gemstones inspired a glamorous material palette and informed the architectural themes running throughout the design of the store.
Portview created new ceilings with curved bulkheads and lighting troughs, providing a full mechanical and electrical package throughout the store. The shop front columns were refurbished and clad with Trespa cladding and mirrored tiles, faceted porcelain floor tiling was imported from Italy, while glass balustrading and a frameless glass entrance lobby provide a dramatic entrance to the store and allow internal environmental conditions to be controlled.
Portview sourced and installed a significant amount of bespoke products, including ornate columns with highly decorative anodised aluminium vertical surface cladding which were manufactured in the USA.
The Second Floor is accessed through a dedicated express lift where customers can find a more discreet range of treatments in designated private areas.
