M&E Co-ordinator

We currently have a requirement for a M&E Co-ordinator, in this role you will be responsible for and manage all M&E activities on site. You will coordinate and control specialist engineering installations and ensure that the work is completed in accordance with specification and programme.

The Job Role

In this role you will be responsible for managing Mechanical, Electrical & Sprinkler elements of live projects and tenders. You will take responsibility for and manage the on-site installation and commissioning of all M&E activities.You will liaise with all designers and sub-contractors to develop installation and commissioning programmes. You will ensure M&E design, installation & commissioning programmes are incorporated into the main programme. You will meet with designers and subcontractors on a regular basis to ensure the construction, installation and commissioning works are developing as planned.

What are we looking for?

The following skills/experience are essential:

  • Experience of either design or construction of M&E works
  • Having an understanding of the construction process, such that designs are developed with appropriate regard for buildability.
  • Possessing a sound understanding of M&E processes and their application
  • General awareness of commercial issues relating to construction contacts.
  • Educated to degree level or HND / HNC or equivalent may be appropriate.
  • IT literate

The following skills/experience are desirable:

  • Knowledge of summit 3000 or another document management system
  • Charter membership of a professional body
